Established in 1999, Manta Dive on Gili Trawangan is a leading diving facility committed to providing exceptional scuba diving experiences. Situated conveniently near the harbor, our dive center is the perfect starting point for exploring the vibrant underwater world surrounding the Gili Islands.
Ten days, each with its own focus - from coral ID and debris dives to coral propagation, Biorocks and turtle conservation. This is a typical schedule; timings and order may be adjusted to suit weather and conditions.

Learn about waste strategies on the Gilis and put them into practice with newly found beach clean techniques - sifting and sorting plastics so we can continue to recycle up to 70% of the trash we find on the beach!
Two events: a recycling tour giving you a glimpse into waste management and recycling solutions on an island, and a Biorocks snorkeling tour to the local coral restoration site - see what 20 years of restoration with Biorock technology looks like on the Gilis!

There are two retreats in 2027: Spring/Summer from 26 May to 4 June 2027 and Fall/Winter from 24 November to 3 December 2027. Each retreat runs for 10 days and 9 nights, starting with check-in on Day 1 and ending with check-out on Day 10.
For Spring/Summer 2027 the retreat costs IDR 38.490.000 in a private room or IDR 31.990.000 in a shared twin room. For Fall/Winter 2027 it costs IDR 36.790.000 in a private room or IDR 31.200.000 in a shared twin room. Both options include the full conservation program, all diving and the same inclusions - only the room is different.
The retreat includes lots of diving, so you'll need a scuba certification. Not certified yet? No problem - join us a few days early and complete your SSI Open Water certification before the retreat begins. The combined package starts from IDR 38.200.000 (Spring/Summer) or IDR 37.410.000 (Fall/Winter), and we can arrange the extra accommodation for you.
No. The program is designed to teach you about the underwater world and how to protect it, with lectures from our conservation team throughout the retreat. All you need is a love for the ocean and a willingness to learn.
Days 5 and 6 are dedicated to Ocean Quest Coral Propagation: a theory lecture, a dive at our coral nurseries, an equipment lecture, a beach lab session with a shore dive, and finally the Coral Propagation exam.
Daily breakfast at the Manta Terrace, lunch at the Manta Dive Restaurant on course days, and 3 group dinners - two family-style dinners at Manta Restaurant and a sunset dinner at Gili Teak. Dinners on other nights and lunches on free days are not included, but Gili T has plenty of great restaurants (and your Gilipass gets you discounts!).
Yes. Short-term diving insurance by Divers Alert Network (DAN) is included for the retreat, along with all dive equipment and the Marine Park fee.
Transport to Gili Trawangan and your Indonesian tourist visa are not included, but our bookings team is happy to help you organise both - from fast boat tickets to the island to visa advice. Just get in touch by email or WhatsApp.
Day 4 is a full day to rest and explore, and several evenings are free. Use your included bicycle to explore Gili Trawangan's beach clubs, restaurants and activities - with Gilipass discounts along the way.
