Core topics include first aid for diving injuries, emergency planning, use of emergency equipment, accident management, communication, and accident recording and reporting.
  • Pool rescue skills

  • Open-water rescue scenarios
You’ll apply your skills during three open-water sessions around the Gili Islands. These scenarios help you build confidence responding to realistic dive problems while staying within the course’s maximum training depth of 18 m.
  • Confidence as a safer dive buddy
By the end of the course, you should feel more prepared to recognise problems, support other divers, manage stress, and respond calmly during challenging situations.

How we teach

  • Small groups and coaching
We keep training focused, calm, and supportive, with close guidance from experienced instructors throughout the course.
  • Skills first, scenarios second
You’ll build rescue skills in the pool before applying them in open water. This helps you understand the technique before adding realistic conditions.
  • Scenario-based learning
Rescue training is practical. You’ll learn through briefings, hands-on practice, simulated incidents, and debriefs that help you understand what happened and how to improve.
  • Pace adjusted to the group
If you feel unsure about towing, missing-diver searches, panicked-diver response, or managing a rescue scenario, tell us. These are normal learning points and we coach them step by step.
  • Supervision matched to conditions and diver needs
We keep groups small and adjust supervision based on conditions, experience levels, and what each student needs to learn safely and confidently.

What Comes Next?

After completing your Stress & Rescue Course, you’ll be a more confident and capable diver with stronger safety and emergency-response skills.
